Education Empowerment Partners
Fostering Educational Solutions For All
Special Education Consulting
Concerned about your child’s educational progress and unsure what to do? Education Empowerment Partners teams with parents and educators to advocate for your student’s needs.
Navigating the school system can be overwhelming for parents and guardians. Sometimes it is helpful to have someone who understands the innerworkings of a school help you to problem solve or to secure additional services for your child. Education Empowerment Partners was founded by Kate Lakowski, a nationally certified school psychologist who is uniquely qualified to help you with your child’s needs. Through a collaborative approach and data-based decision making, Kate will work with your child’s educational team to develop a plan that will help lead to successful outcomes for your child’s educational career and future goals.
Prospective clients will complete an initial consultation and intake process to assess their current concerns and goals. An individualized action plan will then be developed.

What People Say About Education Empowerment Partners
“Kate has been an amazing resource for our family in addressing our daughter’s learning challenges. She provided guidance throughout and helped to reduce my stress during a new and overwhelming process. She validated our concerns, walked us through the IEP evaluation, and explained each data set in the report. Understanding the results and options before our IEP evaluation meeting helped me to be a more confident advocate for my daughter, which is intimidating when surrounded by a team of experienced educators. After the IEP results meeting, we regrouped to talk about options and next steps. It is empowering to feel like we are now managing our daughter’s learning plan, while also accessing the appropriate educational resources provided by the district. I highly recommend Kate for any parent questioning how to effectively approach or manage this process.”
